Janis Casco Blayer - Fine Artist

Maui has provided a wonderful canvas of subject matter adding to Janis Casco Blayer’s studio and plein air paintings from the Northwest and her world travels. She has worked in a variety of mediums including oil, water color, zinc plate etching and bronze sculpture among others. She has studied under many internationally recognized artists, among them Leon Holmes and John Wilson (Australia), Joe Paquet, Suzie Baker, Jane Hunt, Michele Usibelli and Morgan Samuel Price.

Janis’ work has been described as impressionistic, capturing the curious nature of animals and personalities of people. Her landscapes evoke the mood inspired by memorable settings in nature.

Casco Blayer’s most recent One-Man Show was at the Valley Art Center Gallery in Clarkston, Washington. Her work is available for purchase in her studio, Valley Art Center, Clarkston, Washington and at Sargent’s Fine Art Gallery on Front Street in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Janis moved from the Northwest to Maui in 1979 and resides in Lahaina with her husband, Jeff and their two cats.
